One day I was walking down the street when I was smaller and eavesdropping to this conversation these two ladies were having, it went like:

lady 1 -“YO do you like even write in your diary”
lady 2 -“No, I stopped, my philosophy is like, people only write in their diaries when they are depressed and most of the shit they write is sad.”
lady 1 -“Yeah, that’s so true, life should only be lived anyways”


Being an artist with stockpiles of sketchbooks, journals, overhearing that conversation always leaves me thinking, do I agree or disagree? Well, since the instant internet came about, and as for my journals, sketchbooks and notepads have always seemed happy, I think the happiest place an artist can be is in the place of seeing your own perspective of the world, with the free mind let loose without being shadowed by the ideals of others, the mind entirely left to dwell on it’s own, has reached the conclusion of your own thought and your own words and your own free speech, which resulting in, can form it’s own physical existing tangible pinnacle of your truth, and I am ever grateful to live in a society where my opinions and expressions can reach it’s full potential, where unlike in places such as China or the developing third world is plagued with political consequence or financial oppression for ideals to ever fully reach their fruition. Something as impersonal as text on a page, I think is more diverse than the interpretation of one individual, a word or a thought visually present in the public eye is the bread and butter to stirring the thoughts of others and provoking opinion to challenge the mind. So, really, in sharing of my blog I try to leave with you un-constricted free-written fragments of myself, so whether you run a multi-million dollar business or an etsy shop, just for you I will keep my text fresh, unprocessed, to keep your moments spent reading a genuinely time-worthy experience, if you can keep up with my more sane-than-you-think madness.

Had to add, that [Van Halen live, the actual music video is not vegan enough to watch, even if I’m not a vegan] song was like the most exciting thing I saw on TV in China, other than Olympics curling, in multiple foreign languages ‘hard!’ or ‘hurry!’.
